Infused White Vinegar

White vinegar is a green cleaning powerhouse product. It can replace many of the store bought cleaning products in your home. It is an eco-friendly acidic substitute with the power to deodorize and reduce germs.

Adding botanicals, herbs, fruits, or spices can improve the scent to using it around the home but also bring to it the added anti-bacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal, grease-cutting, surface care properties of these natural ingredients to your vinegar.

You Will Need

• White Distilled Vinegar

• Airtight Jars

• Citrus Peels

• Fresh Herbs

• Spices

• Cheesecloth

• Twine

• Strainer

To Make

Choose your combination of botanicals, fruits, or spices. Here are some ideas to try:

Orange Peel & Clove

Grapefruit &Sage

Lemon Peel & Rosemary

Lemon, Orange, & Grapefruit Peel

Rosemary & Thyme sprigs, & Sage Leaves

Fill the jar a little more than halfway with the peels, herbs, and/or spices.

Pour white vinegar into the jar, and tightly secure the lid with the cheese cloth and twine.

After two weeks, strain the liquid a few times, and store in an airtight jar.

To use as an all purpose cleaning spray, use a 1-to-1 ratio of distilled water and infused vinegar.
